FTP Access for your site is quite simple to set up. Using an FTP client of your choosing connect to:
Server: phoenix.sheridanc.on.ca
Protocol: SFTP (Port 22)
User Name: ccitXXX (where XXX is your install #)
Password: generic (this is a default initial password – you should change it using the instructions below.)
Enter a username of ccitxxx – where 'xxx' is the number you've been assigned. Password is 'generic'.
Changing your Password – Site Security
Our default profiles/sever access is not exactly secure. All students should change their FTP and Cpanel passwords so that their site can only be access by them. In order to change your FTP/Cpanel password:
Login to Cpanel
Scroll up to the top of the page and select 'change password'
Enter your existing password and change it to something secure.
Your new password will now be in effect for Cpanel and FTP access.
